With the support of Open Society Justice Initiative (OSJI), RSN held a 3-day convening in Malaysia that brought together civil society experts from South and Southeast Asia. The Expert Consultation was part of a comparative research study being executed by RSN and OSJI focused on increasing refugee protection in Bangladesh. The event included consultation with the Rohingya community living in Kuala Lumpur, which was facilitated by and carried out in partnership with APRRN.

The first two days of the event saw the presentation of a summary of the research findings, in-depth discussion on the situation for refugees in each of the six countries, comparative analysis, and discussion on advocacy strategies and opportunities.
